We can see the finish line!

Finally, after filming all day, we got to the last scene. For this scene we all had to change into our swim suits and go outside to film a fun day at the pool. This is the only scene that Noura, Macy, and I are all in, so to film we had to take turns and recruit Macy's brother Tanner to help. The first shot was the easiest to take, and Macy really got to show off her acting skills. The rest of the scene was more of a challenge. We had planned to just be having fun by the pool and film it, but we didn't know exactly what to do. We tried a couple of different things like playing volleyball, catch, and even just sun-tanning. This led to us having a lot of different shots to choose from in the end. Having so many shot options made the editing easier too.

A couple of problems presented themselves through the filming process of this scene. One is that it was cloudy out, and the other is that Noura and I had to leave before we finished. So, we had to figure out solutions to these problems.

This scene was scripted to be set on a sunny and bright day, but the only day we could film happened to be cloudy and rainy. We had to wait until the sunniest time of day, and the shots came out pretty well. We had just hoped it would be sunnier, but you can never control the weather.

The other obstacle we had to overcome was that Noura and I had to leave before we finished filming. We had done everything up to the very last shot and my Dad arrived to pick us up. We couldn't make another plan to finish filming because we were all traveling for Thanksgiving break and it would be obvious they were filmed separately because of the weather conditions. Instead we decided to just talk about what needed to be done and trust that Macy and Tanner could film it without us. This wasn't too much of a problem because Macy was the only one in the scene.

After all a long day, filming was finally wrapped! Now to editing.
